For over 100 years, the Enterprise Plantation has used trains to move cane and other materials around the properties.  Although the trains and engines have been upgraded over the years, the older ones have not been forgotten.

Perhaps the most famous of the old engines is a 36"-guage, 1897 H.K. Porter 2-4-2 steam engine that was known as Lydia while on the plantation.  Today, Lydia, also known as the Charles Jefferson Patton, is still in operation and used on a daily basis at Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, TX.
